Steps To Freedom

Neil Anderson's programme Steps to Freedom is one tool that we use to help people resolve spiritual conflicts rather than just cope with problems.

Neil Anderson

Neil Anderson, the founder of Freedom in Christ Ministries saw that many Christians were not living the productive lives they could be and were struggling in areas of their Christian walk. He writes:

"….many Christians are desperately trying to become something they already are. Few Christians know who they are as children of God or understand their inheritance in Christ. This is why Paul prays "I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened, so that you may know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints and what is the surpassing greatness of His power toward us who believe" (Ephesians 1:18-19). My vision is to help every child of God on planet earth to realize who he or she is in Christ, so they can live free, productive lives."

He identified seven major issues that he felt were keeping people from a right relationship with God:

1. Counterfeit versus real
2. Deception versus truth
3. Bitterness versus forgiveness
4. Rebellion versus submission
5. Pride versus humility
6. Bondage versus freedom
7. Curses versus blessings

We have found that by praying through these issues it is possible to leave behind a lot of the spiritual baggage that hinders our life in Jesus.

If you have been regularly attending a kinship for at least three months, we can offer you a Steps to Freedom appointment. This takes the form of a whole day spent with two experienced prayer partners in a safe and confidential environment.
