What is Young Vineyard?

Young Vineyard is our Sunday morning ministry for children aged 0-16.  We currently have seven age groups: 0-1, 2-3, 4-5, 6-7, 8-10, 11+.

   When do they meet?

Young Vineyard meets every week  (except cafe weeks) for worship, teaching and fun!

On the second Sunday of every month those age 4-11 join together for  FUNdaMENTAL, a morning of fun with worship, teaching and ministry. Those aged 12-16 will have their own kinship style meeting.

On the other Sundays the children meet in their own age groups.  They join with the adults in the main hall for worship and then go to their groups at approximately 11.00am during the break.

   What happens in the groups?

0-1's
This group is relaxed and informal. Parents are welcome to stay to help settle their children. Leaders will pray and play with the children.

2-3's, 4-5's
These groups are a mixture of worship, structured play and Bible stories. The leader and helpers talk and play with the children and lead them in a short time of Bible story and prayer. 

6-7's, 8-10's
These groups follow a more structured programme of games, discussion, Bible stories and interactive work.  We want to encourage children to know their God as a personal Saviour, someone who loves and supports them and wants to have fun with them. As we try to do this for each other in the group, we hope that something of God's heart will be caught, as well as taught. 

11+
This group offers the young people the opportunity to grow more in their understanding of who Jesus is and what it means to have a relationship with him. We aim to build friendships with each other and develop as individuals through sessions focussing on relevant life issues and growing in the fruit and gifts of the Spirit.
